My Favourite Afternoon Pick-Me-Up: Salted Caramel Nutralean

Need some help powering through your afternoons?

Ah- the dreaded 2:00 p.m. wall countless others and I tend to hit during most workdays. Am I hungry? Do I need some caffeine? How am I going to last until dinner? Would something sweet help me get through the rest of these e-mails?

This conversation happens in my head every time, without fail. If I’ve had a nutritious lunch, typically the 2:00 p.m. wall will consist of a small snack or a jolt of espresso. If lunch wasn’t so satisfying, this is where I tend to make not so great diet decisions.

Unfortunately, today was the latter situation and my sweet tooth was really out to get me. On top of that, knowing I had a pile of work ahead of me had me feeling like some caffeine was definitely in order and downright necessary.

In came Nutralean protein powder though to quiet all of this back and forth in my mind, and keep me on track. Although like many health focused people I am no stranger to protein products, it was my first time trying the Nutralean Salted Caramel prebiotic protein powder, and I decided to get a little creative.

I was determined to get my iced coffee fix and my sweet tooth satisfied all at once, no guilt involved. I concocted this quick and easy recipe all on my own and believe me, if I can put this together so can your 7-year-old.

All you need is:

  • Half a scoop of Nutralean salted caramel prebiotic protein powder
  • 1 and a half cups of unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 small shot of espresso
  • A splash of liquid stevia (very optional but, I like my drinks extra sweet)

I mixed all of the ingredients above, then transferred the drink into a tall cup of ice and voilà: a satisfying afternoon drink that literally put me right back in the mood and mindset to conquer my boss’s latest impossible request.

The Nutralean powder mixes very easily and blended exceptionally well with the coffee and almond milk. What is even greater is that it tasted creamier and was more satisfying than my typical overpriced caramel iced latte, for a fraction of the cost. With the variety of flavours Nutracelle offers, you can switch from my recipe above to a vanilla iced coffee or a classic café mocha without ever getting bored.

Oh and that annoying 2:00 p.m. inner dialogue or feeling guilty about hitting the vending machine when you’ve been doing so good all day?

Thanks to Nutracelle, you can forget about all of that.
