Keto Strawberry Cream Fat Bombs

Keto Strawberry Cream Fat Bombs

Fat bombs are a tasty dessert-style treat in the keto world that have been dubbed as such due to their high healthy-fat content. If you're a fan of easy, no-bake healthy recipes that taste like an unhealthy dessert... you're in luck.  My new recipe featuring Strawberry Nutralean prebiotic protein powder is insanely delicious.

Are fat bombs healthy?

Oof, we used the scary f word.  FAT.  You may have been taught as you grew up that fat was bad for you.  Too much fat = too much cholesterol = bad heart!  Studies have since proven that's not necessarily the case.  It turns out there are healthy fats, too!

This was something new to me - when I first started keto, I read a ton about how important it is to pair your low carb, high protein lifestyle with high fat.  I won't lie to you - the science confuses me. Melanie says it best in this video though, if you want to learn more.

In spite of learning all of that helpful information I still had never tried fat bombs until I remembered that one of our Nutrafam members, Jenny R, makes them all the time and we have very similar likes when it comes to food.

I knew it was time to give it a whirl.

Trying new things can be terrifying

I'll be honest with you: a big part of my hesitation was just the idea of a 'fat bomb' didn't sound appetizing to me at all. Boy, was I wrong! Sometimes even I forget that Nutracelle can make pretty much -anything- taste delicious.

I whipped these bad boys up in no time at all and I still can't believe how creamy and delicious they were. Not to mention they're super filling! Trust me when I say you won't be hungry if these sweet bites are around.  When a craving for sweets hits, I grab two of these (they store perfectly in the fridge!) and I'm instantly satisfied.

I owe that to our Strawberry Nutralean of course and our super ingredient: prebiotic fiber!

Why add Nutralean?

One of the most surprising parts about all of our products is just how filling they are.  We know that it's almost impossible to stay on track and feel good if you're constantly hungry.  Our mission is to bring safe, healthy, filling foods into your home and this recipe is no exception.

Here's how it works:

When your body takes in Nutracelle protein products, the prebiotic fiber we use (you can learn more about that here) helps slow down your body's natural absorption rate of the protein.  This means you get to use more of the protein!

Just in case you didn't know, protein is the most-filling macro-nutrient.  So when you pair it with our gut-healing prebiotic fiber, your body feels full for longer which means you naturally eat fewer calories!  All the while enjoying your favourite treats absolutely guilt-free. Pretty sweet deal, right?

Strawberry Cream Fat Bombs

    Notes

I would recommend keeping your hands very cold while rolling! Every few balls I ran my hands under cold water because the heat of my hands was melting my mixture.  You could also use a teaspoon of coconut oil on your hands as a protective coating to keep the mixture from sticking to your hands.

You could easily make these with other flavours of Nutralean as well - I'm excited to experiment with some yummy combinations and I hope you do, too. The best part of having an allergen-friendly protein powder is being able to safely (while respecting social distancing) share treats and spread the NutraLove!

Send me an e-mail and show me your fat bombs and I'll feature them in a special Nutracelle recipe book I'm creating!

I hope you love this new healthy, gluten-free, sugar-free recipe!  I look forward to creating more high-protein, high-fiber treats that we can enjoy guilt-free.

My other favourite Strawberry Nutralean recipes

If you're wondering what other delicious treats you should use your Strawberry Nutralean for, I have my top 3 go-to recipes found here:

My next recipe will be pancakes, though, thanks to the recommendation of a customer on the phone today (shout out to Ray). I'm confident they'll be delicious, but I haven't adventured into pancake-land yet with the Strawberry, so I'm excited to see how that goes.

Don't forget to join me in NutraTalk: our Facebook support community where I share yummy recipes, host a daily Accountability Challenge (where you can earn gift cards just for participating!), and lead a motivational group of likeminded folks who are all on their own personal Nutra-journies.

Stay tuned for more yummy easy recipes and a sneak peak of my new recipe book!

    Until next time!
